Terms and conditions – megadays Destination Competition. Idea requirements and upload.


  1. Visit http://megadays.co.uk between 18th July and 1st September 2017.
  2. Enter your full name and valid email address when prompted.
  3. Upload details of your favourite UK day out.
  4. Click ‘add now’.
  5. Your idea will be sent for moderation and if deemed appropriate will appear on the online map.


  1. In order for your idea to count towards the competition, your idea MUST be of a real activity in the UK, with sufficient detail for our moderators to validate your entry online. This will require the name of the activity at a minimum.


  1. All participants who have submitted an idea will be automatically added to a prize draw, for the chance to win a prize as defined on www.megadays.co.uk/help*.
  2. By submitting an idea to our megadays map, you are confirming to opt-in to receive communications from us and our third party partner, Hard Rock Cafe.
  3. Once an idea is submitted to the website http://megadays.co.uk, megabus reserve the right to re-use the content.
  4. megabus is not responsible for the imagery or wording used in user’s idea submissions. Any issues relating to the content uploaded to the website must be sent to megabuscompetitions@stagecoachbus.com.


megabus will store every participant’s name, email address and submitted idea(s) in a secure database. By entering this competition, you agree to these details being used by megabus and shared with our partner Hard Rock Cafe.

Stagecoach Group may disclose your personal information to any of its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006. All Stagecoach Group group employees or subcontractors that may come in contact with personal information are bound by a confidentiality agreement to ensure that they exercise the same level of care when handling your personal information.

Stagecoach Group uses all reasonable security measures to ensure that any and all personal information collected is protected. We take strong precautions to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to this site and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Terms and conditions – megabus Prize Draw

To enter the prize draw, users must submit their name, a valid email address and a suitable idea as defined in the megadays destination competition terms and conditions.

The prize draw is open to anyone who submits an idea with all the details of their favourite day out in the UK on the website www.megadays.co.uk between midday on 17th July to midnight on 1st September *

Every time a user submits an idea, they are entered into the prize draw. Therefore, the more times the user submits, the more chances they will have of winning.

The winners will be randomly selected. Their entry will be crossed-referenced with their submitted idea. If the idea does not meet the requirements as outlined in the Idea Requirements Terms & Conditions*, they will be removed from the the pool of prize draw entrants, and a new winner will be drawn

Winners will be selected at random from all entries received after midnight on 1st September by a member of megabus.com head office. The winner will be notifi­ed via email by 8th September. Winner must respond to the notification email by 12th September, if we do not receive a response by this date, we reserve the right to randomly select a 2nd winner.

Once the winner has responded by email the Promoter will send the winner an email with instructions on how to claim their prize.

Winners must be over 18 years of age and resident in the UK. Any personal data provided will be treated in accordance with our privacy policy. By entering, the participant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Two prizes are on offer in this competition. One prize is for a weekend away for 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children to Edinburgh and the other a weekend away for 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children to London.

The Edinburgh prize consists of megabus.com return tickets, Afternoon Tea at The Dome, and dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, 20 George Street. Your dinner will include a starter, entrée and dessert from the A La Carte menu, plus refillable soft drinks. Accommodation is an overnight stay at 2 Cambridge Street (The Dynamite Club). This will include bed and breakfast.

The London prize consists of megabus.com return tickets, Thames Rocket Experience, BB Afternoon Tea, dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, 150 Old Park Lane. Your dinner will include a starter, entrée and dessert from the A La Carte menu, plus refillable soft drinks. Accommodation will be a minimum of 3*.

Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes and are subject to megabus.com Terms and Conditions.

By participating in the promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. To be eligible to win, you must agree to all of the terms and conditions on this page.

By taking part in this promotion, all participants consent to megabus.com collecting, storing and using any personal data submitted with an entry for the purposes of this competition.

Employees of Stagecoach or Scottish Citylink, their families, agents or anyone else connected with this promotion are not eligible to win.

All prizes to be claimed and used by 10th November inclusive and is subject to availability. Includes up to 20kg luggage per passenger. Only includes travel on the megabus UK network (any additional transfer or transport costs are not included and is the responsibility of the winner).

megabus.com is part of Stagecoach Group. Stagecoach will not take responsibility for any lost tickets - replacements cannot be issued. In the event of any dispute regarding these Terms and Conditions, the conduct, results and any other matters relating to this prize draw, the decision of the Promoter shall be ­final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

The Promoter is Midland Red (South) Limited. Registered address Daw Bank, Stockport, SK3 0DU. Details of the winner will be available after the draw date by sending an email to megabuscompetitions@stagecoachbus.com.

The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw this prize draw or substitute with an alternative prize of similar value or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.
